Jesus Christ who become the Gospel (2)
Jairus, the synagogue ruler, bows down at the feet of Jesus and worships in awe of Jesus. He knew that Jesus was the only Savior. In the midst of great despair, he earnestly pleads at the feet of Jesus as if it were the last. “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hand on her so that she will be healed and live.” (Mark 5:23)
The Lord responds by receiving the worship and confession of Jairus, the synagogue ruler. He does not reject the plea of an incompetent father, but allows it. The Lord responds to him clinging to save his child. The Lord is the one who answers.
It becomes the Gospel that you can find the answer if you go to it. Just that Jesus, who is such a Gospel, existed on this earth gives us indescribable comfort and joy. The situation, the environment, is not a problem. This is because having an answer itself is a joy.
The Lord does not reject us, He breathes with us and is with us. It is the Lord who answers and allows his cloak to a woman who has been subject to bleeding and has suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors for twelve years, but who has not been healed and has lived a darndest life that she cannot do anything on her own.
The great love of Heavenly Father who never quench a smoldering wick
The Lord will not break a bruised reed and will not quench a smoking flax. Once the reed is bruised, it cannot be come back. I try to push it back up, but it will bruise soon. But the Lord does not break even that. Even though all hope seems to disappear like a smoldering wick, the Lord does not say that it is over. It is the Father’s great love that we see in God who does not snuff out a smoldering wick until the end.
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. (Isaiah 62:1)
God is singing a song of salvation to Israel, who betrayed Himself. ‘I will not remain quiet or rest till Jerusalem’s righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. Jerusalem has trampled on my glory and is destroyed but I will not stop until it is fully restored like the light of noon. I will surely recover and save.’ This is the song of salvation for Israel, who betrayed God and left.
The place where the Lord, who sang a song of endless love for sinners, ended up was the cross. God loves the world, so he put himself in the flesh and has become me on this earth. And he paid the judgment that I had to receive on the cross, and was resurrected again. And he still tells us this Gospel as a song. (Mar. 2018)
