The big smiles on the children’s faces. Is it Christmas or Children’s Day? It may be the happiest day for the children who smile with a big gift box in their hands. What are in those boxes? When we imagine their opening the boxes with excitement, we get happy. We don’t call something a gift if it’s given as a reward for a certain duty. A gift is a thing we give someone without any cost to make the person feel happy. Good News is God’s gift for us. We, the sinners, even don’t know what we need, but God has given us Jesus Christ as a surprise. Our God is expecting our bright smile caused by severance of the curse of our sin thanks to Jesus.
