38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.(Romans 8:38–39, NIV.)

I recently had a police investigation. At the train station coming back from work, the man in plain clothes asked several questions, introducing himself as an immigration police officer. He said he is searching for a Korean at the report that he is turning a Hindu into a Christian.

” Do you happen to know him? I answered, ” No, ” and he passed by me saying, “Be careful because you are Korean, too.” I’ve met police twice so. I was told to be cautious, saying that I look like the one who converts Hindus to Christianity.

And after a few days, I got a call from the police saying they would visit my house. Tension and anxiety came over me. I prayed for the Lord’s wisdom to answer his questions. Fortunately, the police investigation was completed well with the prayers of many people.

I experienced so much grace having such time. It was a time when I was certain that no matter what hardship came to my life, I could never be cut off from the love of Christ. I have asked more to God to preach for the good news bravely without fear in the land that God has given me until the time God allows me.

Not long ago, there was a thanksgiving for the chapel extension and baptism. Baptism was a real risk in a time that being searched for Koreans who were turning Hindus to be Christians. Either they were sent to jail if they found out, or they were deported.

But the reason why we had to do it was because we had finally the certificate(after a difficult procedure) that proving the four people who were being baptized were already Christian, not Hindus anymore. They desired so much to be baptized and paid big cost in order to be baptized-they were even shunned by their familly memebers and co-villagers. So, we couldn’t tell them they couldn’t be baptized because of the fear of police.

Baptism was simply a time to use our faith. But it was a time of blessing for all of us, and a time to fully experience the joy of victory through him who loves us in everything. Hallelujah!!

Although the land is in a difficult situation, it is expected to bear fruits in abundance through the life of the church, which is, easily won by faith.

Since we live without even an inch of sight, what is even more expected is that we should run further and further to keep the church workers here to have a zeal for the souls.

While there are many difficulties ahead, I look forward to the Lord who is the same living, working and waiting in the midst of those difficulties, and also, who will come back. Pray that the day of the revival will come soon. <GNPNEWS>
