Still A Long Way Off
at a bus stop in Tajikistan

A grandmother, a mother, and a granddaughter are waiting for a bus with their hands inside the pockets in a cold weather.

All they are looking towards the corner along which the bus comes, sitting on the cold bench on the empty street. The image of their warm house makes their eyes firmly fixed towards the way. There may be the family waiting for those three of them.

There is a place we have to go back. Our empty soul can’t help facing the place even while we are in the pleasure of the world. Because there, in the place, exists our forever Father, God. Our Father is waiting for us.

Every day Father is waiting for the wandering son to come back to Him thinking ‘He is still a long way off.’ There is Father who will greet us with love at any time.[gnpnews]

“So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”(Luke 15:20 – NIV)
