I Will Not Forget You

In July, the women in Nepal practice ‘mehendi’ where they draw showy paintings on their hands with henna. They wear a green and yellow bracelet called ‘jura’. It means that a single woman meets a good man, and the husband will become better for a married woman. That’s one part of Hindi culture in Nepal where 87% of the population believe Hinduism.

This henna tattoo becomes blurred after a week or two. There, however, is the thing which is never erased for ever. That is just ‘I’ who has been engraved on God’s palms.

Sometimes we think God has given up us when we have difficult time in our lives. However, God says “I engraved you on the palms of my hands and let you not be erased for ever.” Even parents sometimes forget their own children. But He is the Creator, and Father of my soul, and the Master of unerasable love who laid His Son on the Cross instead of me. I am the everlasting being who is engraved on His palms and will receive His love for ever.[gnpnews]

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”(Isaiah 49:15~16 -NIV)
