At the Sunday school of an East African church are shiny eyes toward the teacher. Recently, as a peace treaty between Ethiopian government and the rebels, TPLF, was settled, a slight light of hope has emerged for these little souls.
It has taken 2 years for the government and TPLF to sign the peace treaty on the 3rd of this month under the arbitration of the African Union. Tigrayan civil wars, however, have resulted in a maximum of 500,000 casualties and millions of refugees. Besides, cruelties and genocide at a level of war crime have been reported. The World Food Programme has announced that over 13 million people are eager for some type of humanitarian aid in the northern part of Ethiopia alone.
Despite the situation, Danniel, one of our correspondents, pushed a Gospel camp in Ethiopia. ‘avera’, the only participant, now believes Jesus Christ and follows Him. Through the cross to reconcile him with God, he has now become a church, the body of the Lord, which enjoys spiritual blessings. He is not an enemy of God anymore. Let’s pray for the affluent peace and harmony of the cross over Ethiopia.
“and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross,by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peaceto you who were far away and peace to those who were near.”(Ephesians 2:16-17_ESV) [gnp news]
