Here is an outstanding child with her back straight among others who bend their bodies forward. What is her praying for with her hands together? I can’t hear the prayer but can feel earnestness by looking at her. The one who has no earnestness can’t kneel down in front of God. That’s because that person believes he/she lives by his/her own strength or efforts.

What praying means is recognize that I am totally incompetent in front of God and confess that I can do nothing without Him.

God desperately wants to meet me. His earnestness towards me is much more than that of mine towards Him, which came out through the fact that He let Christ on the Cross instead of me to deliver me. God proved His love for me through the invaluable Cross. [gnpnews]
