On the first day morning of the new year, the bright sunlight rises through clouds far away. I hope the gloomy clouds over Lebanon disappear and Lebanon, like the sun rising through the darkness, greets a dazzling new day.

Now, Lebanon is groaning with the problem of refugees who take a quarter of the population and the financial crisis continuing since Covid-19. Hezbollah, a pro-Iran armed faction, declared its support for Palestine after the attack by Hamas to Israel on Oct. 7th, 2023, and has been firing rockets, mortars, missiles, etc. Therefore, naturally, Lebanese people are shivering with fear of war.

Only in Lebanon, because of fights with Israel troops more than 100 died including 90 of Hezbollah agents and civilians.

Even under these circumstances, a Christian group called Triumphant Mercy Lebanon, which is based on Beirut spread the Good News of Christ on its Christmas mission trip. May God allow the lively recovery of life in every region where the Gospel was told! Let’s pray together that the sun of His righteousness rises to stop wars and God’s ruling comes to this miserable world as soon as possible.
