At a temple in Nepal, you can easily see a Sadhu of Hinduism. A Sadhu is a saint of Hinduism and he/she spends his/her whole life abandoning desires and undergoing spiritual training to erase their sins in this world according to Hindu lessons. They often go on a pilgrimage with only one pair of clothes, a sheet of blanket, and a piece of bowl practicing non-possession. However, this kind of action cannot erase sins. Forgiveness of sin can be achieved only by the Cross of Jesus Christ. “Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:14)

Besides, Hindus in Nepal worship animals. In Tihar Festival which lasts for 5 days, they worship crows on the first day, dogs on the second day, and cows on the third day. People also drink the water in which they wash tails of cows because cows are considered as the incarnation of Rakshmi, a Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity.

Wealth and prosperity doesn’t come when drinking the water with which you wash cows’ tails. They come only from the Lord.

I hope they abandon the hard practice for the deletion of sins and vain idols for prosperity and just come to God who is the saver and the supreme ruler.
