True worshiper (5)

We who lost the original form which was created by God cannot worship God. This is the destiny of Israelites in the Old Testament. However, we can see Satan has continuously attacked the worship in the story of remnant of God, the faithful people.

Job was too. It is assumed that Job was a contemporary in the time of Abraham. Satan had contemporary annoyed and attacked him through hardships and difficulties. The goal of Satan was to make Job give up worship before God because if the worship is fallen, everything is ended. Satan said to God that “”Does Job fear God for nothing?” Stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”

God allowed Satan to do that. And then, terrible things happened in Job’s life. Job’s children were suddenly died. Everything he had was gone. Job experienced terrible hardships and severe trials that were difficult for humans to endure. However, he worshiped God and said that “Actually I had nothing, and he LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”

Satan who attacks through hardship

Satan continuously attacked Job. Satan said to God that “Skin for skin! Stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely not worship you.” God allowed Satan to test Job under the condition that Satan spares Job’s life. After then, Satan afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. Job scraped his skin and got terrible pain. His friends who came to Job to comfort him could not say anything and began to weep aloud. Everyone mocked and left Job thinking that ‘it is likely that Job has hidden sin.’ Job’s wife said to Job that “Curse God and die!” However, Job did not commit sin in lips in spite of the severe hardship. And Job did not fall on worship like those who failed worship in Malachi.

Finally, Job got a victory in worship in the unexplainable hardship. And the last chapter of the book of Job, Job repented before God. Job said that “My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you after I overcame the hardship. I failed worship God who are awesome majesty because I had just worship God as what I want. Now I repent.” What a wonderful victory that overcame the hardship! Halleluiah!

Job who got a victory in worship in the end of the hardship

It is very obvious that how and where Satan attacks us. Satan makes us to far away from God through everything. The reason that God told us Job’s story is because God wants to tell us where Satan attack us, so we can worship God in spite of Satan’s attack. It would be a terrible trouble if we do not worship everlasting God and our worship ends. Keep the worship!! Even now, Satan is attacking us to take us our heart that worships God. <Continued>
