A man is absorbed into something with his head down in the shade. In a terrific weather like this, what is it that he is concentrating on before everything?
There is another absorbed person in the Bible: David who was immersed in the glory of God. He was a man who couldn’t be satisfied with anything else in the world. Jehovah was the only joy for David. Although he was a king, he professed that he would rather be a doorkeeper of God’s temple even if he were to live only for a day. The power, wealth, and glory of his position as a king could not replace the time with God for David.
What is the source of our joy? Jesus has solved our thirst at once which has not been cleared by any thing in the world. We love Him much more than we did yesterday. Let’s live today as God’s bride who rejoices only because of the Lord. He is our everything.[GnP News]
“For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.(Psalms 84:10_ESV)
